It looks like we’re getting the full RuPaul’s Drag Race season 15 cut after all!

Earlier this year, Drag Race season 15 moved to MTV – the biggest network that the series has ever aired on. Despite much fanfare, this move came with a huge caveat: Drag Race episodes would now be cut down from 90 minutes to 60 minutes in order to make room in the schedule for a new LGBTQ+ show: The Real Friends of WeHo.

Alas, the 60-minute episodes of Drag Race season 15 felt incredibly short, and viewers did not like that the drag competition show was getting cut down in lieu of a new Real Housewives-style series that was widely disliked.

On Wednesday, August 9, the full 90-minute episodes of RuPaul’s Drag Race season 15 will be released on Paramount+ in celebration of the show receiving nine Emmy nominations this year (via Variety).

“You asked for it, and you got it,” World of Wonder executive producers Fenton Bailey and Randy Barbato wrote in a statement. “We’re thrilled to deliver 90-minute episodes for all of season 15, showcasing the joy and genius of this legendary cast.”

Even though season 15 eventually did have a few episodes – toward the end of the season – that had a 90-minute runtime, most episodes only ran for 60 minutes. With this re-edit and new rollout schedule, however, all episodes of Drag Race will now return to their traditional 90-minute format.

This is particularly exciting news for early-out queens who competed against a cast of 16 queens on a TV show that only ran for 60 minutes each week… resulting in fans not learning that much about them in the first place.

We couldn’t be more excited to watch this extended cut of Drag Race season 15!

The first 14 seasons of RuPaul’s Drag Race are already available for streaming on Paramount+.
