Female Force: Angelina Jolie - Comic Book Coming in January!

Angelina Jolie is the latest powerful female to get the comic book treatment. The 35-year-old super star is the latest subject in Blue Water Productions' Female Force book series. The 32-page comic book will "fill in the blanks surrounding Jolie's life," but told through from aid volunteers in Haiti's perspectives. Female Force: Angelina Jolie hits shelves in January for $3.99. The unauthorized biography comic is written by Brent Sprecher, with art from Nuno Nobre.

Female Force: Angelina Jolie hits shelves in January for $3.99. The unauthorized biography comic is written by Brent Sprecher, with art from Nuno Nobre. 

For his part, Sprecher hopes that his contribution to the Female Force lineup will shed some new light on an often misunderstood actress. "My hope is that this biography, in some small way, inspires others to follow Angelina Jolie's example and make helping those in need a part of their daily lives," Sprecher said.

As for the other books in the series, Female Force: Women in Media tells the stories of Oprah, Barbara Walters, Ellen DeGeneres and Meredith Vieira, while Female Force Volume 1 covers the stories of Hillary Clinton, Sarah Palin, Michelle Obama, and Caroline Kennedy in a broad examination of strong women in politics.

Authors Stephanie Meyer (Twilight) and J.K. Rowling (Harry Potter) have already had their stories made into comics. Olivia Newton-John's edition hit stores earlier this month with a portion of the proceeds going to the Olivia Newton-John Cancer and Wellness Center.
