Ricky Martin’s Coded Message To Ex Jwan Yosef Has Fans In A Tizzy
But seriously, what does it mean?
Fans are still reeling from the shocking announcement that Ricky Martin and Jwan Yosef are divorcing. But a coded message from Martin to Yosef on social media has some fans wondering if there’s still hope for reconciliation, while others are going into conspiracy mode.
Since announcing their decision to go their separate ways, Martin has been living his best life with performances in Europe and soaking up the sun on a yacht.
Yosef, on the other hand, has remained low-key and under the radar. Instead of Yacht pics, Yosef instead posted a couple of photos of him sitting in a bright and sunny room looking handsome and thoughtful. In the caption, he wrote “tender loving care.”
While self-care in the wake of a breakup is a good thing, it’s not especially notable — except that in the comments, Martin popped in with a mysterious comment that has fans trying to decrypt its meaning.
Martin wrote simply “Hbb” followed by the raised hands emoji. The question is, what does it mean? Queerty proffered two possible meanings: “It could stand for hi baby, or be shorthand for habibi, an Arabic term that translates to ‘my love,’” they wrote. Both are very intriguing interpretations.Regardless, fans were excited to see the two interact, with Martin’s comment quickly racking up more than 500 likes.
It’s no surprise that some fans have hope for the two, as the breakup seemingly came from out of nowhere: on July 6th they shared a message via Instagram that they were separating.
“For some time, we have considered transforming our relationship,” their statement began, “and it is after careful consideration that we have decided to end our marriage with love, respect, and dignity for our children and honoring what we have experienced as a couple all these wonderful years.”
The couple had been married since 2018 and share two children: Lucia, 4, and Renn, 3. The couple reportedly had an open marriage before deciding to end the relationship.
Whatever the future holds for these two, we send them nothing but love and happiness.
